Our sources, in order
- Official bodies: embassies, consulates and the accredited visa centres, immigration authorities, and each country's tourism ministry or board. They give us entry rules, fees and lengths of stay.
- Airlines and airports: each airline's published timetable and the airports' own pages for terminals and transport. They give us the direct routes, flight times and weekly frequencies.
- The attractions themselves: their official sites for ticket prices, opening hours and seasonal closures, and we name the month a price was taken because prices change.
- Climate: the official monthly normals for each city (1991–2020), not today's forecast. The weather table tells you what to expect in your travel month, not what is happening now.
- What we learn from our customers: what Saudi travellers ask before booking, from bidets and halal food to family rooms and closeness to the Haram, goes into the hotel and destination pages the way we answer it every day.
The two-source rule
Anything that can change, a visa rule, a direct flight or an official fee, is confirmed from two sources from the current year before it is published. When the sources disagree we write the safer option for the traveller and state the date the new rule starts.
A last-checked date on every page
At the bottom of the destination, flight and visa pages you will find “Last updated” or “Verified” with the month and year. We review the pages regularly and correct them as soon as a change reaches us from official bodies or from our customers.
What we never write
- Fixed prices for tickets and hotels: they change with every booking by date and availability. The binding price is the one in your booking confirmation, sent to you before you pay.
- Promises of visa approval: we prepare the file and follow it through to issue; the decision always rests with the embassy or the country's authorities.
- Places or activities unsuitable for families: our pages are written for Saudi travellers and their families.
Two languages, one set of facts
The English page takes its figures, photos and verification dates from the same Arabic page, so you never find a fact in two different versions.
