Frequently asked questions about visas for Saudis
How many countries in this list can Saudis enter without a visa?
23 with a passport only, plus 9 with an electronic permit or registration before travel, out of the 59 countries covered on this site.
Is a national ID enough for the Gulf countries?
Yes. GCC citizens enter the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait with a valid passport or national ID, and children need their own ID or passport.
What is the difference between a visa waiver and an electronic permit?
A waiver means you arrive with your passport only. An electronic permit (the UK ETA, Korea's K-ETA, Kazakhstan's QazETA) is a quick online registration before travel, free or with a small fee; it is not a visa, but the airline may refuse boarding without it.
Does the list apply to residents of Saudi Arabia of other nationalities?
No. The list is for ordinary Saudi passports travelling for tourism. Residents follow the rules of their own nationality; some visa pages have a section for them, and we help with their files too.
Do Saudis need a visa for Turkey, Georgia, Europe and the United States?
Turkey: visa-free (Visa-free for ordinary Saudi passports, up to 90 days in any 180). Georgia: visa-free (Visa-free for Saudi passports up to one year, with valid travel insurance). France: visa in advance (Schengen visa required). United States: visa in advance (Yes, a B1/B2 visitor visa).
When is this list updated?
We review each country's rule regularly against its official sources and show the last-checked date on every country page. Last review: أكتوبر 2026.
