Germany visa for Saudis: Schengen step by step

Required documents

• A passport valid for at least 3 months after your return date (and 5 years to get the five-year visa), with two blank pages
• Two recent passport photos on a white background
• Return flight booking and hotel bookings for the whole stay
• Travel insurance covering at least €30,000 in the Schengen area
• Bank statements for the last 3 to 6 months
• A salary certificate or commercial registration, and a leave permit for government employees
• For children: birth certificate and parental consent if a parent isn't travelling with them

How it works with us

1. You tell us your city and dates; we confirm Germany is your main destination and book your appointment
2. We prepare your flight, hotel and insurance bookings and check your file page by page
3. You attend the appointment in person to submit your documents and fingerprints (unless they were taken in the last 59 months)
4. We follow up your application until you receive your passport with the visa

Important tips

• Apply to Germany if it's where you'll spend the most nights; if the nights are equal, apply to the country you enter first.
• German applications are not accepted at VFS centres, only at TLScontact centres.
• Summer appointments fill up early, so start at least two months before you travel.
• Renew your passport before applying if it's valid for less than 5 years, so you can get the five-year visa.

Destinations this visa covers
