Required documents
- A passport valid for at least 3 months after your return date, with two blank pages
- Two recent passport photos on a white background
- Return flight booking
- Hotel bookings for the whole stay
- Travel insurance covering at least €30,000 in the Schengen area
- Bank statements for the last 3 to 6 months
- A salary certificate or commercial registration, and a leave permit for government employees
- For children: birth certificate and parental consent if a parent isn't travelling with them

Important tips
- Appointments fill up weeks ahead in summer and the holidays, so start early.
- Apply to the consulate of the country where you'll spend the most nights; if the nights are equal, the country you enter first.
- Since April 2024 the EU has granted Saudi citizens resident in the Kingdom a five-year multiple-entry Schengen visa on a first application, provided the passport is valid for 5 years when applying. Renew your passport before applying if it's close to expiring.
