What awaits you in Norway
The northern lights over Tromsø from November to February, and the fjords in summer: Geiranger with its waterfalls, the Flåm Railway followed by a boat along the Nærøyfjord, Bergen and its colourful wooden wharf, Pulpit Rock above the Lysefjord, and the fishing villages of the Lofoten Islands. In summer the sun barely sets in the north. Norway is in the Schengen area though not in the EU, and it's often combined with Sweden and Denmark on a Scandinavian tour, so apply to the country where you'll spend the most nights. There are no direct flights from the Kingdom: you reach Oslo with a connection through Istanbul or Doha, then take a domestic flight to Tromsø or Bergen.

How it works with us
- You tell us your city and dates; we confirm Norway is your main destination and book your appointment
- We prepare your flight, hotel and insurance bookings and check your file page by page
- You attend the appointment in person to submit your documents and fingerprints from age 12 (unless they were taken in the last 59 months)
- We follow up your application until you receive your passport with the visa
Important tips
- Apply to Norway if it's where you'll spend the most nights; if the nights are equal, apply to the country you enter first.
- Apply at least 4 weeks before you travel, because your file is sent to the embassy in Abu Dhabi and comes back to the same centre.
- Any document that isn't in English needs a certified translation into English or Norwegian, or the application may be delayed or refused.
- The embassy asks for proof that you can cover at least NOK 500 for each day of your trip.
- Renew your passport before applying if it's valid for less than 5 years, so you can get the five-year visa.
- Since 10 April 2026 your photo and fingerprints are taken at the Schengen border on your first entry (the EES system) instead of a passport stamp, so allow extra time at the airport.
