Getting to the airport
By metro: the Yellow Line (Line 4) runs from KAFD to the airport in about 30 minutes, with three airport stations: one for Terminals 1–2, one for Terminals 3–4 and one for Terminal 5. It is a comfortable choice if you travel light.
By car: the airport is north of Riyadh on King Khalid Road and Airport Road; from the centre it takes 30 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are available at every terminal.
Parking and drop-off
According to the airport website (October 2026): the Terminals 1–4 car park is a 3–5 minute walk away, at SAR 10 an hour up to SAR 130 a day, then SAR 40 a day after 48 hours. The long-stay car park near Terminal 5 is capped at SAR 80 a day, with a free shuttle to Terminals 1–4 in about 15 minutes. Valet parking is available at the terminal gates.
The drop-off and pick-up lanes in front of the terminals are free for five minutes only; after that a SAR 575 fine applies. If you are meeting someone, wait in the car park until they come out.
Moving between terminals
Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4 are joined by connecting buildings, while Terminal 5 stands apart and is linked to the others by free shuttle buses. If your next flight leaves from a different terminal, allow enough time to transfer.
King Salman International Airport
King Salman International Airport is being built around the current airport and will become one of the world's largest, with six runways and new terminals opening in phases through 2030 and beyond. Until then, your flights leave from today's King Khalid terminals.
