When to book your hotel
The earlier you book, the more choice and the lower the prices, especially for the last ten nights, which begin in the last week of February 2027, when the hotels near the Haram are booked long before the season. The first days of the month are calmer and better value.
Where to stay
- The Haram area and Abraj Al Bait (the Clock Tower): steps from the Haram's courtyards and the most expensive, with some rooms overlooking the Kaaba.
- Ajyad and Ibrahim Al Khalil Street: within walking distance of the Haram, with more choice and a range of prices.
- Jabal Omar: modern towers west of the Haram, a short walk away.
- Aziziyah and Al Shisha: further from the Haram and cheaper, need transport, and suit longer stays.
The Umrah permit on Nusuk
Umrah permits are issued through the Nusuk app, and Umrah at the Haram requires an active permit. Last Ramadan (1447), only one Umrah permit per person was issued for the whole month; each season's rules are announced in the app, so check them before you book.
Coming from outside Makkah
Flights land at Jeddah airport, and from there you reach Makkah by the Haramain train or by car; the train also links Makkah with Madinah. We book your flights and hotel together at the lowest available rates.
Tips for Ramadan in Makkah
- The crowds peak after iftar and Taraweeh prayers, so staying close saves time and effort.
- With older relatives or children, choose a hotel close to the Haram's courtyards and exits.
- Ask about suhoor at the hotel if you prefer to stay near the Haram.
- A visit to Madinah before or after Makkah completes the trip.
