Snow destinations for families, winter 2026–2027

1. Georgia: Gudauri and Bakuriani

Snow resorts two to three hours from Tbilisi, with beginner and children's slopes and cable cars, and no visa for Saudi passport holders with valid travel insurance. Daily direct flights from Riyadh to Tbilisi.

Uludağ above Bursa, Kartepe near Sapanca about an hour and a half from Istanbul, and Erciyes near Kayseri. No visa, with many direct flights to Istanbul.

Shahdag resort is about three hours from Baku, with slopes and mountain hotels, and Saudis are temporarily visa-exempt until February 2027. Direct flights from Riyadh to Baku.

Shymbulak resort is under an hour from Almaty by car and cable car, with snow from December to March. Visa-free for up to 30 days with the QazETA, and a weekly direct flight from Jeddah.

5. Austria and Switzerland: the Alps

Zell am See and Kaprun in Austria, with guaranteed snow on the glacier, and the Swiss Alps from Interlaken and Zurich. You need a Schengen visa, and we prepare your file.

Tips for a snow trip with children

• Choose a hotel close to the cable car or the slopes, as getting around with children in the cold is tiring.
• Snow clothes, gloves and boots can be rented at most resorts, so there's no need to buy everything.
• Book early for the mid-year break, the busiest days of the season.
